This voice chat program automatically downloads and installs…it doesn’t look like java to me. Is this active x written in VB probably?
OR what could this be written in to work this way? That is to download and install so easily?

When I go to the Voice Test Room with Mozilla under Windows XP, it pops a window telling me to download and run chatsetup.exe. That could be written in any compilable language.
But I suppose it might use something different with IE, like the things you suggested.
