When I watched this skit live, I assumed in the beginning it would be a spoof of the Montgomery mini mall viral video. But nope. Maybe other people had the same idea.
We were uncertain about it as well. I thought it might be parodying some televangelist (e.g., bad wig).
Louis C.K. seemed to be in just about every skit, and each seemed to… not jump the track, but be a little, umm, off the rails, not necessarily in a bad way.
