What is your absolute, A#1, all time favorite song?

Here Comes the Sun - The Beatles. Without a doubt one of the best songs that ever was.

Great choice.

Mine is Take It To The Limit by The Eagles.

See, I’m really bad at these type of questions. I can have one absolute, all-time favorite song one minute and another the next. Hmmm. Well, right now, it’s definitely Bob Dylan’s “Visions of Johanna.”

I guess you could say that it’s my absolute, A#1, all-time favorite song at the moment

Lotsa classic rockers in the SDMB…

Yeah, I did take my name after the song. Its my second favorite; would be #1 if I was not already an Isaac Hayes fan. Hmmm…Maybe I should change my screen name to “Shaft”.

I also jam to Funkadelic’s “(Not Just) Knee Deep”.

A very difficult question. I can only narrow it down to a list; to pick one isn’t realistic, since they can reflect different moods I can be in. I currently have 42 “top rated” songs in my iPod as a result.

Moi…Lolita, Alizee
The Drugs Don’t Work, The Verve
The Staunton Lick, Lemon Jelly

Suppers Ready, Genesis

Don’t Fear The Reaper, Blue Oyster Cult

Pass That Hatchet, Southern Culture on the Skids

Porcelain, Moby

When Joy Kills Sorrow, Bela Fleck

Song - American Pie.
Piece of Music - The Funeral March of the Marionettes.

“Bohemian Rhapsody,” Queen.

“November Rain,” Guns N Roses.

“Don’t Fear The Reaper,” Blue Oyster Cult.

Bo Rhap, if I had to pick just one.

“Just My Imagination” by the Temptations.

Not only the theme song of my life – but it has that beautiful cascade of strings.

If I have to pick only one:

“Layla” (original, of course)

Genesis “Cinema Show”
Faith No More “Evidence” (en espanol)
Chicago “Wishing You Were Here”
Mason Williams “Classical Gas”
Sophie B. Hawkins “Lose Your Way”
Van Halen “Push Comes to Shove”
Police “Wrapped Around Your Finger”
Simon & Garfunkle “Sound of Silence”
Issac Hayes “Look of Love”

Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple. From the Made in Japan LP.

Green Grass and High Tides - The Outlaws.

Radar Love - Golden Earring.

The Battle of Evermore – Led Zeppelin

I know, not really a signature piece, but the haunting melody just resonates with me, and it is rather Lord of the Rings-ish. I just love tales of an epic battle between good and evil.

“Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right” by Bob Dylan.

You and me both, Alessan. I always felt as though he wrote that song just for me. It got me through a lot of crazy times.

What a stressful decision to make. It would probably have to be “Winter” by Tori Amos. I destroyed that tape by listening to that song over and over again. It’s that moment in the bridge when the french horn comes in that hits me the hardest.

‘Here Comes A Regular’ by The Replacements.

This is a totally unfair question. So, right here… right now:

“My Heart And The Real World” - The Minutemen

You know, it all depends on my mood, but a song I never tire of listening to is:

Open Arms by Journey.
