My dad’s side of the family is the usual Southern mix of English and Scotch-Irish – nearly impossible to sort out the percentages there, but it’s probably close to 50-50.
My mom’s side is mostly the same, but with at least 1/8 Italian thrown in (descended from Italians who were convinced to immigrate to Arkansas to work as sharecroppers after the Civil War).
