So, I have a friend that loves trivia and constantly begs me to ask him trivia questions…he’s right more than he’s wrong. Trouble is, I’m running out of questions to ask. He llikes geography and entertainment trivia mostly.

Maybe a little area specific The Eisenhower tunnel(Colorado)is only the bore in one direction, what is the other bore named,
Johnson, the proper name is the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial tunnel system
Then the follow-up who is it named after?
Most people instinctivly say Lyndon, but it’s Colorado Gov. ‘Big Ed’ Johnson
How many astronauts have walked on the moon?
Which astronaut hit a golf ball on the moon?
Very few people get either of these. And since I don’t know how to do spoiler boxes, look down for answers:
12, all of them American
Alan Shepard
What’s the serial number of the trash compactor that the heroes are trapped in, in “Star Wars”?

I won a trivia contest at a gaming convention with that one. I suspect it was one of George Lucas’s friends’ phone numbers.
This is my all-time, bestest trivia question ever. If you know the answer to this one, you’re good; damn good.
Who is the ski jumper who symbolized “the agony of defeat” on the opening of ABC’s Wide World of Sports?
To make this a true challenge, I’ll come back with the answer later.
I thought that might be a trick question, since Harrison Schmitt’s background was as a geologist, instead of coming up through the usual astronaut ranks at NASA.
Easy:

Take out the spaces inside the brackets and you’re golden.
is it Eddie the Eagle?
LOL. Good try, but the “agony of defeat” clip predates Eddie by quite a bit. Eddie competed in the '88 Winter Olympics; the “agony of defeat” was from a 1970 event.
Vinko Bogataj, by the way.
Vinko Bogataj = The agony of defeat.
Vinko Bogataj (sp).
A good one I just read about:
Several people were banned from coming back after problematic appearances on “Saturday Night Live”, such as Sinead O’ Connor was for ripping up a picture of the Pope. Which comic was banned for constantly flashing the cast and crew?
I’ll post the answer later.
Edit - beaten on Vinko!
My favorite is from sports:
What member of the Baseball Hall of Fame, other than Babe Ruth, wore #3 for the New York Yankees? (This is not a trick question; I mean the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown and the baseball New York Yankees that Ruth played for).
Joe “Ducky” Medwick, who wore the number in spring training in 1947, when he was trying to catch on with the team (and didn’t)
No, years before him.
Now that I think about it, this question may be fading into obscurity. Wide World has been gone for about a decade now.
See, the reason I like this question so much is that, for a long time, everybody had seen that clip. “The thrill of victory” changed from season to season, but nothing represented “the agony of defeat” like that old footage of a ski jumper who fell before he’d even cleared the end of the jump, tumbling off, and bouncing in the snow. It was iconic, unmistakeable. And no one, well, almost no one, knew his name.
As I age, and wish to demonstrate my trivia prowess, I’ll probably run into more and more youngsters who have no idea what I’m talking about.
Milton Berle.
We read the same magazine.
“The Big Chill” is about a group of college friends reuniting to attend a funeral. Who was the then-unknown actor who was cast as the deceased friend (though most of his scenes were cut, and he only appears as the corpse)?
How many periods come after “In a galaxy far away”?

That was one of the final questions in a serious Japanese Star Wars otaku trivia contest. For the win I believe the winner had to correctly identify the movie by the version of the title theme. (You know, the Star Wars song. Which is the same in every movie, only they recorded it seperately for each film so evidently there are differences one can recognize.)
I loves me some obscure TV trivia.
What 2-time Academy Award winner read for the part of the father in the Brady Bunch?

Speaking of Saturday Night Live, what future cast member was supposed to appear on the premier show, but was cut for time at the last minute?

We were playing Trivia Pursuit one night, and someone received the question:
Q: Who does Jesus love more than they will know?
A: Mrs. Robinson
