I wouldn’t say I’m a terribly, terribly social person but one of the things I really like is meeting new people. I’ve been busy with school lately and unfortunately I haven’t done much of that in a while however. I plan to correct that soon, though.
I usually meet people at parties and, more and more, at art events - concerts, exhibitions, etc.
Where are your favourite spots to go trolling for new friends, lovers, acquaintances, enemies and the like?
I found coxing for the men’s boat club in college got me 8, tall, fit men I could boss around. YMMV
Seriously, my friend met her boyfriend through Ultimate frisbee. It’s not hard to take up, it’s cheap, and it’s fun.

Any special interest place is a good place to meet people. Whether that be church, an art exhibit, or roller ball.
Here, during the summer, we have a Shakespear in the Park group that A couple of us go to, and I have met many nice people there.
Don’t discount the evryday things, either. I met a great friend in a supermarket checkout line. I looked behind me, she smiled, and I started talking. Been friends for years now.
So, maybe it’s not place as much as attitude…
