What is your Myers-Briggs type?

Heh. Sounds like me too…INFP as well.

INFJ represent!

ISTJ here.

INFJ, 33/50/12/44

I’ve taken this test several times in various permutations and it’s always come out the same. The husband says it’s spot on, for whatever that’s worth.

INFP, mostly. Once in a great while I’ll make a quick sidestep into INFJ.

Both types are said to make up less than 1% of the population. First time I took the test in HS, mum told me this thinking it would be comforting to me, somehow. Mostly it just means that no one can relate to me. :stuck_out_tongue:

Based mostly on the Keirsey sorter, which seems to have the same sorting system, but I don’t know how similar the tests are.

iNTj, although it’s been a few years since I was tested.

INTJ. Although I took this years ago and was sure I was something different then. INFP, I think.

Another INFP here… 56, 12, 12, 22.

ENTP

Woah. INTP.

Sure do have a lot of INTJs around here!

Arrgh! Yes! This is why the part of my job I love the most is process reengineering. I get to walk around and ask people, “But WHY have you always done it that way? And why should you continue?”

ENTJ here, married to an INFP.

The Myers-Briggs test is basically an indicator of your natural personality preferences and tendencies and how you process information. So for example, an E would naturally tend to be more outgoing. It’s basically just a guide to help you understand how and why you percieve and react to your environment and how and why others may react differently.

For example, I am an ENTJ. According to the test, I am “frank, decisive, assume leadership readily. Quickly see illogical and inefficient procedures and policies, develop and implement comprehensive systems to solve organizational problems. Enjoy long-term planning and goal setting. Usually well informed, well read, enjoy expanding their knowledge and passing it on to others. Forceful in presenting their ideas.” This is fairly accurate. Someone who is a "T"hinking is logical while their opposite "F"eeling bases decisions on emotion. As a T, I might misinterpret this as “this guy is soft and doesn’t know what the hell he is doing”.

I’ve never seen any place make anyone take the test as a condition of employment and it isn’t really meant for that. I’ve taken the test several times, usually at work or school as part of some sort of management training class or something. Basically, the idea is to help understand how your people interpret the world differently and why it’s good to have a mixture of types on the team.

Lordy, msmith537, whenever I see you post in business-related threads, it is clear we overlap in a few ways - now I see why. Fellow **ENTJ **here, with similar experiences and perspectives on M-B. I was first exposed to/took it in college and then repeatedly at HP (along with that MIR training - Driver, Analytical, Amiable, Expressive). MB and MIR can help sensitize you to your team and how all of you inter-relate.

Pisces.

INTJ, like so many Dopers. Very strong I, very strong N, medium but consistant J. On a bad day I’m INFP (meaning I seem to get the “bad” parts of INFP, not the good ones).

ISTJ.

INFJ here. 44/38/25/22. The strength of the J will vary occasionally, but usually stays in J rather than P territory.
