What is your Myers-Briggs type?

INTP, occasionally INTJ, although that’s less often as I get older.

Consistently INTJ.

Like purplehaze2007 and XJETGIRLX I love process re-engineering. Keeps me busy/distracted at work.

ISTJ here, as well.

ESFP here, though all four values are expressed “slightly” with E the strongest at 22% and S the weakest at 1% (!).

I’m an ENFJ, which I think is consistent with the last few times I’ve taken it.

ISFJ

INTJ, but very close to ISTJ.

It appears that, in addition to the other characteristics ascribed to INTJs, we seem to be very active in responding to message board threads about M-B types.

Thanks for the comment. It’s nice to be unique.

I’m on the borderline between INTP and INFP. I’ve tested as both at different times.

I’m very strongly I - almost to the maximum; reasonably N, and moderately P.

INTJ.

I just had one done on me by my therapist and received the results last Friday. The most interesting thing about all of it is that right there in the write-up about INTJ, it said they have a tendancy to over-drink. Helllooooo, recovering alcoholic here! Weird, and so, so true.

(It also said that I always think I’m right [true], that I can’t stand incompetence [very true] and that I’d do well in Managment positions [very, very true].)

INTJ, and having read the blurb on the web-site, I have never been so well described…

Nonsense. We drink exactly the right amount. Everybody else drinks too little.

Ha! Exactly, because no one else can quite meet our standards either.

I am a hardcore textbook INTJ. I have often thought about sending a link to the description of INTJ profiles to some of my friends, hoping that might smooth over some of my relationship difficulties. I actually have done that on occasion, when the description explains what my motives are better than I can. I was in shock the first time I read it though, suddenly things clicked like they never had before for me. Maybe it’s not that scientific, but it sure seems accurate.

Have any of you who’ve taken the test and read the profile for your type changed the way you acted or thought about yourself?

I was ENTJ many years ago, and just took the online free version and got the same results. Does seem to be quite the representation of us here.

I have company! And yes, INTJ does seem to be very common on these boards. I think the fact that I’m very closely between ISTJ and INTJ is very interesting, especially when I consider my political worldview. I think the ISTJ is where my conservative, moralistic side comes in, but it is countered by my liberal, freethinking INTJ side, and it’s probably why I’m a conservative-leaning libertarian with relatively strict personal values. I can’t say I’ve ever felt a need to over-drink, but I’ve never actually drunk at all, so who knows (hopefully not)? However, I’m definitely secure in the other categories of I, T, and J; their counterparts do not describe me at all.

Valete,
Vox Imperatoris

INTJ here.

I took the test years ago in an MBA class, and I was the only INTJ. (Mostly Es there.) In our analysis, the prognosis for INTJs was either a CEO or homeless wino–which kinda fits the tightrope I walk in life.

Man, I can’t tell you how much better that makes me feel.

I borrowed a Myers-Briggs book from the library and revisited the test. I am now solidly INFP.
