At the moment, I have Leighton’s Flaming June, which is an alternate ‘default’ - I rotate between that one and a Maxfield Parrish (the title of which escapes me just now) whenever I don’t have something holiday or “flavor of the month” up.
A Photoshopped pic of a prison cell redecorated a la Martha Stewart. It’s amazing what one can accomplish when working with such a small space! 
At work, mine is a beautiful picture from strangecosmos.com of the US Color Guard standing in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and in the pic someone’s put in these ghosts of servicemen saluting the flag. Give’s me chills all day long.
At home, I have Tuen Hocks “Man looking at the sunset”. I like interesting art.

I just changed mine yesterday. It had been the Carina Nebula (you know, the one that proves the universe is flipping us all off), now it’s a photo I took a couple years ago from the base of the mast of the Highlander Sea.
I had Orlando Bloom for a while, but now it’s Miranda Otto.
This still (the one at the top of the page) from from the film Susperia, which was part of Retrocrush’s 100 scariest movie scenes of all time.
It wasn’t my intended goal when I downloaded it, but I’ve found the image to very effective at getting rid of those annoying co-workers (usually from the sales department) who come up to my desk and start clicking stuff on my computer (while I’m sitting there in front of them). “Hey, can I see the copy you’ve got ready for the NQZ presentation? I just emailed you the feedback so lemme open up this file here and close this, and this and AAAAAHHHH!!!”

IIRC, the last time this came up I had an overhead view the Adler Planetarium and Shedd Aquarium that I had laboriously assembled from Mapquest’s now-departed aerial photos.
Now I have the same view, but resized from a single super-hi-res image that I downloaded from http://nationalmap.usgs.gov/index.html. Far more detail.
It’s Piglet, cheerily waving with one hand, carrying an AK 47 in the other.
