Is this house the scene where six puppies were allegedly blown up by fireworks? Or is the story a hoax? We spoke with Bob Whiteley, the assistant director at the Tulsa Animal Shelter. He tells us two investigators have been working on the case since early Monday morning.
“We have not found the puppies,” he says. “Yes, that’s what we’re still looking for, for the evidence.”
Evidence that doesn’t exist, at least at the site where the dogs were supposedly killed. We talked with this woman who said the dog identified as the puppies mother actually belonged to her mother. She said “Sally” had 11 puppies just over a month ago.
She said two of the puppies died soon after birth, the other nine were given away and were no longer in the neighborhood. We talked to other neighbors who also expressed doubt that kids in the area would be capable of that kind of cruelty.
I dunno, is this just the city trying to cover its arse and appear a caring place as this has received international attention or was it just a hoax?
Never mind the cop who shot the Golden Retriever a week or so back, what about the people who have had family members murdered and have had less donated to the Crimewatchers fund to catch their murderers?
This makes me absolutely furious. How can anyone even do such a horrible thing? It makes me want to cry and it makes me want to shove firecrackers into their mouths at the same time.
What we really need to do is stick them, and all who commit crimes like them, away from society (especially animals) in prison. In isolation cells, so they can’t share ideas. Then, when they die, they should each have a specially designed little corner of Hell. These particular animal abusers should be blown apart by firecrackers, have all the pieces fly back together, be blown apart again, etc., for all eternity.
How DARE they do that to those poor creatures? I think I’m going to go cry now.
Geez! More bad news from Tulsa. Awhile back that judge with the penis pump… now some sickos killing puppies. How about an eye for an eye? Treat them as targets.

There’s also twointervening articles, the first of which says that the surviving puppy was set on fire. The same article indicates that the SPCA believes the female dog (called “Amaya” in the article) is indeed the puppies’ mother and is confused by their absence. That certainly casts doubt on the “Sally” story in my mind.
In all seriousness, I’ve suggested before that people who torture animals like this should be required to publicly register themselves in the same way that sex offenders have to. As others have noted, virtually all serial killers have histories of torturing animals so there is a legitimate social need be addressed. And the humiliation of having to go around to every house within five blocks of their residence and tell everyone “Hi, remember me? I’m the guy that killed those puppies” would do them good.
More news: a brother of the teens and their mother have been arrested for allegedly intimidating a witness. The witness is the same person who brought the injured dogs to the SPCA and filed the report about the six puppies. This just keeps getting weirder.
Correction: the mother is the one who brought the dogs to the SPCA and reported the dead puppies story. This is getting weirder than I thought! Perhaps she cooked up the dead puppies story in an attempt to get the heat off her sons.
I have a confession. When I was very young I killed a frog with a rock. At the time I didn’t see the signifigance, but as I got older it has weighed on me like few things in my past have. Assuming they aren’t wild psychotics these people as they age will begin to feel tremendous guilt. Karma is a bitch.
