I have a silver 1994 Geo Metro.
1989 Toyota Extended Cab Pickup; 4-cyl 5-speed.
Me & Mrs. Juneau drove it off the showroom floor just 351,000 miles ago (seems like yesterday…)
Somewhere around 30 mpg, great on the highway and around the farm. Room for (our) kids in front and (goat) kids in back.
93 Dodge Dakota 4X and extended cab, V8. Runs great. Still comfortable and quiet to ride around in. With luck I’ll have it another 100K.
2002 Ford F-150. In white, just to make sure I have a tough time finding it in the middle of a snowstorm.
I’ve only had it since March, and already have 20k on it.
Tripler
It’s the same truck I slept in at chique’s farm for Porkapalooza '02.
2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. 'Cause I wanted one. And, I lost all confidence in my last car.
1995 Dodge Neon
Why?: My step-dad gave it to me for my first car. And it sucks.
I wish i had a yello itr with full body kit, rollin’ on chromed out 18’s…thatd be niz.
2001 Toyota Tundra with extemded cab. Why? I can haul stuff, and it is so comfortable and reliable.
1993 Plymouth Laser. Rouding 175,000 miles. Had to replace most of the engine or motor or whatever when the timing belt broke at 67,000 miles (should have replaces it) I love it. It has no wheel covers, bad paint and the headliner is falling off, but it is mine and I paid for it all myself (my first car the I myself bought) I think I will drive it until it dies.
Huhhhh??? What is that in English?
I have a 1993 Toyota pickup, extended cab, canopy, 95,000 miles since new. I have had it almost 10 years, I think I will keep it another 10.
My wife has a 1994 Chevy Corsica. Basic ugly transportation. It is going to be traded in soon.
And my baby. My 1966 Pontiac GTO. Bright red, black interior, 389, turbo 400 trans. Bought it in 1986 for $600. It took me 12 years to restore it but it still needs more. It still has the original flex pipe dual exhaust someone threw on it but it sounds good so I haven’t had a reason to change it yet. I need to have the rear bumper rechromed, I would like to find an NOS piece though. And the turn signal switch does not cancel itself after left hand turns. I just ordered all new urethane bushings for all the suspension and steering systems and I am going to add late model GM disc brakes up front. I had to replace virtually the entire body from the door jams back to get rid of all the rust. It rarely sees rain and is never raced. It will cruise all day at 70 mph and would get about 20 mpg doing it. Last spring I was offered a lot more money that it is worth and turned the guy down. I love to drive it and it always draws a crowd. Did I mention she is my baby?
1988 Pontiac Fiero Formula. It was cheap.
1994 Grand Cherokee 4x4
1984 Corvette Targa
PLease - don’t mind the riceboy with dreams of a Type R - move along.
1976 Ford Pinto wagon
it is baby blue, with the fake wood trim.
It’s rusty, and it smokes.
Why? because it is a BABE MAGNET!
He wants an Acura Integra Type R with body panels, rocker panels, a surplus Cessna wing on the back, and a lowered suspension with 18-inch wheels so he can bottom out the suspension and scrape off his body work whenever he goes to climb a slight rise. Oh, and he wants blue headlights, clear tail lights, and a coffee-can exhaust pipe. Yeah.
Anyhoo, I drive a 1997 Isuzu Oasis minivan (basically a rebadged older Honda Odyssey) with 125,000 miles on it. I drive it because it’s what’s available. I don’t like it very much, but I can live with it.
In the near future, I may drive a 1993 Honda Civic hatchback, 5-speed, with about 200k. Three out of the four cylinders on the engine aren’t working, and it sucks down about a quart of oil with every tank of gas. God, I love that car. I actually have a Desperate Plan[sup]TM[/sup] to get it working well again, but chances are that it would cost me around $400 at a bare minimum. In the long run, though, it might be cheaper than all that oil…
We just got a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon. It’s carbon blue, it’s beautiful, and it goes vrooooom!!
I drive a 1988 Dodge Aries SW. Maroon varoom! Its got front wheel drive and with studs all around and a couple of sandbags in the back I can get around in the snow pretty good.
In the summer its great for garage sailing and road trips.
I rented a car almost like it in Hawaii a couple of winters ago. Partly cos I knew where all the bells and whistles were and partly cos we camped in it. Took the back seat out and cut a foam rubber pad and made that into a bed. Figured if we could camp in Alaska we could camp in Hawaii. Found a great beach that the locals didn’t mind you camping as long as you were fishing. What a fun winter that was!
I also have a 1969 VW BUG I’m restoring. Its drivable now but needs lots of work to make it mint.
For the last 11 years it has been whatever the company gives me. Currently that is a 2002 Volvo S60 AWD, in a couple of months that will change to an XC90.
Grelby, don’t be hatin on the ITR. You are right though, most people who have them typically do stupid stuff. Although there has been a movement in the import scene quite different from the Fast and the Furious look, to something known as JDM. (Japanese Domestic Market). Basically, you make your car look sporty, yet clean. No stickers, no park benches for spoilers, and no fart cans.
The premise is that you make your car as much alike as the models in Japan, and make them as fast as possible.
2001 Honda CRV; champage exterior, black leather interior. Nimble little sucker, easily adaptable interior for load hauling, good gas mileage and four wheel drive. Built on a Civic chassis so there’s minimal rollover risk, and it has a surpisingly comfy ride.
I finally got fed up with repair costs so finally sold my '86 Jaguar XJ6 (silver/gray interior) and the classic '71 Chevy Malibu (red w/ black leather roof/black leather interior). Neat cars but wanted just one
car w/ fewer repair needs.
Haven’t regretted it; love the CRV.
Veb
1985 Volvo wagon (240 (?) turbo). I’m with ya, Lizard. His name’s Oli, 'cuz he’s a crochety old Swedish man. Molting black paint. The price was right and now we wuv him.
