What kind of dancing is that on the Folgers commercial?

A commercial for Folgers coffee has been airing lately that has me puzzled. A woman wakes up and has her cup of (Folgers) coffee, then practices a dance step; then she’s in a studio with a group of women who dance like that (Riverdance?). And they all wear heavy shoes which seem designed to make as much noise as possible on the wooden floor. What kind of dancing is this?

You answered your own question. It’s Irish stepdance, a.k.a. Riverdance. I just hope she Irished up that Folgers.

Have not seen the commercial yet, but it sounds like clogging or clog dancing.

Irish coffee, eh?

I remember them showing that commercial years ago when that Irish dance was all the rage. Guess they brought it back to save money or something.

Would’ve made it Belgian, but it’s hard to get the waffles in the flask…

Fine by me. That girl is delovely.

I don’t think their talking about the riverdance comercial. There is another where women are doing some kind of samba or other latin dance. The question is: is there a complete routine of that comercial, and where can I find it?

The new commercial shows African dance, not Latin.

This thread was started 4 years ago, probably about a different commercial.
