I have a problem with my left hand. For the past 20 yrs. or so, it has trembled slightly, kind of annoying since I’m left-handed. For the past few months, it’s been getting worse. It’s especially bad after physical activity.
I’ve got lousy medical insurance, so I don’t want to waste time or money going to the wrong type of doctor.
Woman, at the very least, go to a General Practitioner ASAP. Neurological oddities like that CAN’T be good.
20 years? Girl you can’t be more than 24 or 25 (from your picture.)
I dunno, I’m sorry. But I’m sending you my best get well thoughts.
You should definitely go to a doc about this. Tremor can be a sign of serious neurological/muscular conditions. Of course, it can also be a sign of something as simple as stress, but it’s best to know for sure.
See your Primary Care Physician, if you have one. He or she will probably refer you to a neurologist, and if not, you should ask if you should see one.
If you don’t have a PCP, because your insurance doesn’t require you to pick one, or for whatever reason, see any General Practitioner (internist), as ** Lightnin’ ** suggests. Again, you’ll probably be reffered to a neurologist.
If you do end up seeing a neurologist (which is my bet), most insurance companies insist that you be referred to that specialist by a general practitioner.
Good luck. Hope things turn out okay.
Have you been stressed much these past 20 years?
I would also suggest seeing a nurologist. It’s amazing the things you get refferred to them for.
I apologise, obviously, I meant to type “neurologist” not nurologist.:smack:
