Whichever scent-free liquid I find the day I’m shopping. It is likely to be a no-name brand, in a bottle with the same shape and color as a name-brand.
One of those things I read somewhere years ago. I’ve probably used shampoo instead of Woolite for 15+ years, with no problems. (And I’m very picky about how my laundry is done.)
I also use baby soap as face and body wash. Waaay cheaper than specially formulated stuff for sensitive skin.
Nope, this is what I use, only in the unscented dye-free variety. For a long time Safeway didn’t carry it and I had to make a special trip to buy it elsewhere, but SW has it now where I live (Denver).
Kirkland brand powder in the enormous square tub. I use maybe 1/3 of the recommended amount - a quarter cup or less. I switched to powder back when I was laundering my son’s diapers and never switched back to liquid. Never once had a problem with the powder dissolving either.
I like the idea of making my own, but I don’t spend so much in the first place. The tub lasts us (family of four) months and months. I’m a fan of scented laundry so use liquid softener and dryer sheets both. Luckily no one in my family has sensitive skin.
I use the no-name brand at my local grocery store. It has a slight smell to it (although I prefer nonscented), but no obnoxious. I like Gain, but the smell has gotten too overwhelming for me lately. Besides, I have a fabric softener that I love the scent of, and I’d rather have that scent. Unfortunately, it doesn’t mesh well with Gain.
