Not wanting to hijack the “Do fighter aircraft simulations often include ejection training?” thread, I want to open this up to the professions that require refresher training. What does it include, how often, special scenarios/special simulators?
Or any unusual training. (Do you have practice fire drills at home?)
Medical:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support-Mannequins for intubation (upper front teeth click if you put too much pressure on them-indicates that you would have broken the patient’s teeth)
Breast examination simulators-comes with various lumps embedded so people (medical personnel and lay people) can learn what it problems feel like.
Surgery:
Pieces of string tied onto or inside things to practice knot tying.
Surgeons who have played video games have better eye-hand coordination.
