What laws reulate employyes at horse racing tracks?

Today I won a $2.00 daily double at a track here in Ohio. I was shccked that the payoff was only $10.40. I have never seen such a low payoff on any daily double. The employee who cashed my ticket out was amazingly rude…even asking me for the 10 cents in change.

The final results may or may not show that payout. Did the employee break any laws by cashing the ticket for such a low amount? Are there laws which regulate an employee’s unethical conduct at a para-mutual event?

The payoff for any bet at the track is clearly posted. Are you saying the employee gave you less than that? Granted, a $10 daily double is rare, but it can happen.

If the employee gave you less than the posted amount, you should have immediately asked to talk to his supervisor. Hell, you should have pointed at the payout figure and ask why it wasn’t that amount.

As far as being rude, that’s not illegal, though you could have complained to his supervisor for that, too.
