Hi. What if someone (not myself of course) used all their credit to lock in student loans, high maximum credit cards, and financial aid from the governement only to put the money in offshore bank accounts and then declare bankruptcy? Do you think I…Irene of course, the name of the girl I know, would get away with it?
I’m not sure, but it’s definitely against board rules to ask for directions on how to commit a crime.
Delete my post please. I think I was under the influence of peer pressure on that one. Thanks.

Aw crap!
Deletes the “How Can I Get Away With Murder” thread he’s been working on
Good news, everybody, we’re extending arts and crafts time by four hours today.
While this post was not a good idea, the actual question was also not a good idea.
For one thing, recent changes to personal bankruptcy laws mean that you are still on the hook for the money, you are simply given a different schedule to repay it–meanwhile, your credit history is trashed until several years after you have finished the repayments.
(And I suspect that you’d have been better leaving your request to close this thread as your last post, here.)
As has been pointed out above, asking how to get away with breaking the law is not permitted. If you suspect you have broken the rules here and want a thread to be closed, the best thing to do is use the “report this post to a moderator” function. I’ll close this one up.
