What major gaffes will Trump make on his first foreign trip?

For definitions of extremely stupid that include people falling somewhere between the 75 and 91 percentile if the LSAT to rough IQ estimate is valid.

Does revealing the location of two super-secret nuclear submarines qualify as a “gaffe” or as a “actually treasonous act by anyone other than the President”?

How many people suspect that Trump calls them all “nuclear submarines” but doesn’t know the difference between a nuclear-powered submarine and a nuclear-armed submarine?

Is one secret and the other not?

few if any.
People seem to forget that Trump is first and foremost a salesman. This is a sales trip just like he has done hundreds of times before. And as you may have noticed he is a pretty good salesman. It is all he has done for 40 years and he has made a living doing it. So I fully expect the trip to go smoothly for two reasons:

  1. it is what he does. If he can ever avoid a pratfall it will be on a sales call.
  2. All Presidents do well on their first foreign trip. All the host nations are hoping they can sway the President in their favor and will pull out all the stops and swords to make a good first impression. The success of these trips is found in the results of the 4th trip a President makes when he has a track record to carry around.

So, he will do well. Everything is in his favor right now.
The good news is that he is out of DC right when he should be trying to influence policy. So, for the future of his agenda vs the good of the country-we should be grateful he is away having a good time. It gives the pros back in Washington more time to find the math errors in the budget. At least it wasn’t subtle-2 trillion $ off. Can’t call that a rounding error!

Aren’t ALL of our submarines nuclear-powered now? We’re not still using diesel, are we?

I thought about posting this on this thread, but it was not on trip, but on a phone call last month that he said that, I thought?

I wasn’t able to determine if it was already publicly known they were there. I keep hearing different things. We knew the aircraft carrier was there? Like this mentions two submarines as a normal part of a carrier group. We had a carrier there, but I don’t know if all the carrier group stuff was there.

I wondered.

I think this the full transcript. I was reading some people discussing the language (Duterte using “Mr. President” and Trump using “Rodrigo”) and that sort of thing. Not sure I agree with any of the assessments, but it was interesting to note.

Just as presidential bathtub toys. They might be missing one…

…but its blowing its smoke up Trump’s ass…

They’re all nuclear-powered. But not all of our subs are nuclear-armed. I can see Trump threatening the North Koreans with nuclear weapons and then somebody having to explain to the Commander-in-Chief that these particular submarines don’t have any nuclear weapons.

[Idiot Trump]Can’t they use some of the nuclear fuel as a weapon?[/IT]

“Look at that wailing wall. Disgusting. Just a bunch of big rocks. I’d like to buy it and cover it with gold foil. Very classy. These must be the only jews who don’t know how to do business. Sad.”

“Nobody had any idea how complicated achieving peace in the Middle East could be.”

I’m imagining him putting a note in the Wailing Wall complaining about how nobody in the history of the world has been persecuted as much as he has.

The visit with the Pope looked…interesting…judging from the photos released. When the religious leader is the one arguing on behalf of the science behind climate change, the world is truly a weird place.

Replying to myself - I’m still looking for clarification here. I don’t want to be like those people claiming Clinton gave away secret info on nuclear response time when what she said was widely known/reported.
