Thank you. As it turned out, the poor lil girl was not in heat. She had a raging UTI and the infection caused her vulva to swell and make her present that way. She also had enough glucose dumping into her blood to make her pre-diabetic and threaten her kidneys.
She’s responding to the antibiotics very well and we are hoping that this is a one time thing due to the stress at the shelter.
Sexually abusing her wouldn’t have done anything to help and everything to hurt. I’m so glad I didn’t listen to the dopers who recommended that.

Besides, no matter how good AI gets at things that, formerly, only humans could do, I think creative self-expression is one thing that will remain uniquely human. AI may become good at faking it, but the real, genuine thing needs to come from the human experience.
