This movie, which features my best friend in the starring role (such as it is). Yeah, it sucks, but his overacting and general aura of goofiness just remind me why I love the guy.
Also, “The Hustle”, by KC and the Sunshine Band. Crappy song, but something about that cutesy electronic melody makes me just HAVE to bob up and down, and I can’t resist smiling as I do so.
The smile of a small child. That’s the one thing that does it every time. Oh, I guess if I find a $100 bill on a deserted street, that might bring a smile to my face too.
Watching my dachshund strut. It’s one of the reasons we own dachshunds. No matter my mood, I have a full-on belly laugh when the two of them get frisky and start chasing one another around the apartment.
My teenage daughter mixes phrases and cliches, sort of reminiscent of Gracie Allen. “It’s not rocket surgery!” or “You’re not the sharpest crayon in the box, are you?” or “For crying out Pete!” Just makes me grin.
An icy cold Coke right out of the can.
A well-turned out meal made by my own two hands.
