The most prolific source of these kind of memes, of course, is
My first and only bumper sticker says “Choose Science Over Fiction”
I’ve been complimented on it, but my son says it is too provocative and “In your face”
I don’t know if it has ever been a bumper sticker, but I love this:
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn’t go away.
That “not meant for you” was actually from an inspirational site! There is also a variation that says “It’s not what God wants for you.”
My favorite “Despair” one is “Dysfunction” - “The one common factor in all your dissatisfying relationships is you.” Oh, man, is that one true.
I love Demotivators! I always wanted to put up the poster with the Leaning Tower of Pisa that says
Mediocrity
It takes a lot less time,
and most people won’t notice the difference
until it’s too late.
in the teacher’s workroom, which is where most planning period meetings were held.
One of my favorite memes:
By doing
only a little
every day,
I can gradually
let tasks
completely
overwhelm me.
And my favorite Despair poster shows a cluster of track runners rounding a curve with the caption: “For every winner, there are a dozen losers. Odds are you’re one of them.”
But I haven’t seen that on their web site for several years. Maybe it’s out of print now?
We could fill this entire thread with memes from Despair and your favorite inspirational site.
Seen posted at a skydiving clubhouse: “If at first you don’t succeed – maybe skydiving isn’t for you.”
More like “… wasn’t for you.”
stop pretending your racism is patriotism
It cuts through a lot of bullshit on the right. I would get it but I don’t want my car keyed.
Just go with the classic “patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel”. The deplorables won’t know what refuge and scoundrel mean. You could even put it next to an image of Trump, and they’ll probably think you’re a Trump supporter.
Okay, slightly paraphrased.
Someone should show this one to Taylor Swift.
My favorite Demotivator is Sacrifice: All We Ask Is That You Give Us Your Heart.
The caption appears below an Aztec pyramid.
I hung a cut-and-paste version of it over the copy machine at the last school I worked at. It stayed up there at least two years.
I’d marry her.
From a shirt I gave to my physicist dad. “Everything happens for a reason and the reason is usually physics”
“I didn’t say it was your fault. I said I was going to blame you.”
This bumper sticker makes a good point:
“Safety Is My Goal - But I’lll Settle For Getting There Ahead of You”.
I would never want those filr[quote=“Riemann, post:70, topic:964879”]
You could even put it next to an image of Trump, and they’ll probably think you’re a Trump supporter.

I would never want those filth ever to think I’m one of them.
I have a red ball cap I don’t wear anymore.
A cousin of mine that is in no way way a Trump supporter has a red cap that looks cute on her. I was a little weirded out when I took her to lunch 2 years ago.
But on the other hand. Fuck it. Don’t let those assholes make us change our lives.
