Do you have a movie that you return to in the six days post Christmas? It might even be a movie that is often considered a “Christmas movie”, but which you never have time for in the pre-holiday rush.
I’ll start with two:
“Bachelor Mother” (1939) with Betty Grable, David Niven, and Charles Coburn. It begins in the pre-Christmas shopping rush, carries on through Christmas (but doesn’t really emphasize it) and New Year’s, and then the denouement takes place in the new year.
“The Great Rupert” (1950) with Jimmy Durante and Terry Moore. Christmas is part of the movie, but is is more of a “getting through winter into spring” - in more ways than one.
