I only saw the part of this movie just before the climax. It had something to do with the US President giving himself up as a hostage to some terrorists.

The thing that stuck this film in my mind: there were for points of view shown in a 4-way split screen. It was very confusing, as I wasn’t sure which one had the major action I should be watching. The scenes jumped in each frame, and I’d look at the new scene just in time to miss what happened in another.

Does anyone know what movie I saw?

I think you’re thinking of Time Code. That’s the only film I can think of with a four-way split.

It was definately Twilight’s Last Gleaming. I couldn’t remember Charles Durning’s name; he played the President. That’s what you get when a character actor plays a starring role. :smiley:
