What Movie/TV Prop Would You Love To Own?

I’ve always wanted his jacket. Too rich for my blood, though.

I’d really love to have a hall of robots, too. First up? The Republic Robot, aka Dr. Satan’s Robot. I just have a soft spot for the stumbling old things.

Theoden’s arms and armour from The Two Towers. Unfortunately, Bernard Hill was given the helmet and sword.

No question: Hand phaser from ST: TOS. One that actually works, with a lifetime supply of power packs!

I know the OP specified just props, not working versions, but if I could have a working version of something I think the hoverboard from Back to the Future would be fun (though I’d probably kill myself on it!).

And again, the TARDIS. Even more if it worked! And even more still if it came with my choice of Doctor.

Jimmy Darmody’s WWI trench knife from Boardwalk Empire.

Does an android count as a prop?

If so, then I choose Andrea

You might find some memory joggers in this old thread:

Guess the movie from the props which had 100 posts between 03-10-2009 and 03-27-2009.

That would be a “Mare’s Leg.” Mare's Leg - Wikipedia

It’s a Winchester Model 1892 with the barrel and stock shortened. You can buy a variety of replicas, or you can buy the actual firearm, depending on your jurisdiction.

The M134 Minigun from Terminator 2 would be pretty cool to have.

Hope you have your own reloading press and setup. It’ll cost you a mint to keep it fed.

Dan Gurney’s Eagle race car from the movie “Grand Prix”, even though it got passed by Yves Montand’s Ferrari on the banks of Monza.

Heisenberg’s hat from Breaking Bad. I would wear it all the time.

Nice, but I can’t handle the narrow nut-width on Rickenbacker guitars. If we can just cite guitars used in various films, then I’d go with the ones used in Nigel Tufnel’s collection in Spinal Tap - great, real guitars. For that matter, the guitars used in the TV show Nashville - the guitar that the little blonde chippie gives to the guitar guy really is a $50,000 Martin.

I would also pick the Red Violin: The Red Violin (1998) - IMDb

Forest J. Ackerman lived this fantasy. I visited the Ackermansion 35 years ago, and he had display cases with stuff like Bela Lugosi’s cape from Dracula and pieces of the original King Kong.

I think I mentioned this in a prior thread, but back in my book-collecting days, I got hold of a first edition of Kurt Vonnegut’s first book, Player Piano, signed by Philip Jose Farmer over to Forry Ackermann, basically saying “this is a great book; you should read it.” I ended up having to (;)) trade it to get a different book…

Fair enough! I’ll take the Ferrari!

See you in Monza…

You can buy an excellent reproduction here.

I have one and I love it.

Or you can do like Mythbuster Adam Savage, and make your own. His talk’s 17 minutes long, but very entertaining.

The orgasmatron was from Woody Allen’s Sleeper. But it wouldn’t be too hard to make one. Just paint a darkroom lightlock glossy white and put a couple lights on top. (Wait, can you still get dakroom lightlocks anymore? Might not be as easy as I thought.)

To me, the ultimate movie prop is the Time Machine from the original George Pal movie. It currently resides among Bob Burn’s collection of sci-fi, fantasy and monster movie memorabilia.

Since “Let the Right One In” is my favorite movie, I’d love to have anything from it. A few years ago some fans snatched up some of the wardrobe from auctions. Jealous.

The Letters of Transit.

Delivered inside Sam’s piano, if at all possible.

Jack Benny’s violin
The bamboo car from “Gilligan’s Island”, filled to the brim with banana cream pies.
A Grace Brothers shopping bag from “Are You Being Served?”
An Illudium Q-26 Space Modulator

Artie’s computer from Warehouse 13.
The DNA model from Sheldon and Leonard’s apartment and Raj’s UFO lamp from The Big Bang Theory.

Thanks! I was unaware of the extensive history of this weapon.
