You’re right. I know that five is right out, but I’m foggy on the rest.
The hand from the Outer Limits episode Demon With A Glass Hand. It’s a life-size hand presumably made from lucite or something similar filled with futuristic (for the 60’s) technological bits.
When I was a teenager I was in a mall and saw the box from Hellraiser for sale. “Oh cool, the box from Hellraiser”, I thought, and promptly purchased it. However, the box was just a thin hallow cheapo plastic box with the design only on the surface.
So I guess the box from Hellraiser, but the real one. I’d prefer not to be killed by pinhead or open any demonic portals though.
Any of the weapons used by Illya and/or Napoleon from Man From U.N.C.L.E.
The Aston Martin DB4 from Goldfinger. In pristine condition.
The 12-string guitar Gretch built for Mike Nesmith for The Monkees.
The 12-string Rick George Harrison used in “A Hard Day’s Night.”
Almost forgot- The Gynecological Instruments For Operating On Mutant Woman from Dead Ringers.
They’re just soooo creepy. Current | The Criterion Collection
One of the Elvish swords from LOTR.
The stuffed gator from The Big Easy – “If I can’t have you, can I at least have my gator?”
The bike’s not for sale, Francis.
The Grail Diary from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
So cool…
I would be satisfied to own even an accurate, functioning replica of this, complete with music box function.
I want Kirk’s captain chair to replace my desk chair.
The Dropship from Aliens. And a Pulse rifle.
Ash’s metal hand and chainsaw from Army of Darkness.
A Stargate and DHD
A Viper from Battlestar Galactica. Any series.
The stargate would become my front door.
If I pick the Aston Martin from Thunderball, do I get that rocket belt in the trunk? Because if I have to choose, I’d probably just take the rocket belt.
I thought of a better choice. Some of the “furniture” from Soylent Green.
Data’s head.
I refused to watch the show “Charmed” when it debuted in 1998 because I despised Shannen Dougherty. After three seasons of backstage brawls with co-star Alyssa Milano, Dougherty finally gave up and quit the show.
I was flippiing channels during the fourth season and happened to catch a glimpse of Piper (Holly Marie Combs) in action. Piper’s magical power was the ability to decrease or increase the speed of molecules- simply put, she could ‘freeze’ time or she could blow up shit! And I the moment I saw her flick her hand and take out a dozen demonic creatures with one big blast, I was hooked!
Piper always drove a Jeep SUV from the very first episode. The first season it was a gray, very plain/basic Jeep Cherokee ('90-ish model). The second season, it was a much newer and nicer looking Cherokee ('96 or newer, top-ot-the-line model).
At some point in season three, she gets a dark blue 2nd-gen Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (made from '99-'04). She drives a dark blue Grand Cherokee all the way until the finale at the end of Season 8. They never mention whether it’s the same Grand Cherokee she drives for almost six years or if she has traded for an identical looking one along the way??? The show originally had three dark blue Grand Cherokees- a '99, '01 and '02 model.
In Season 6, Episode 6, the '99 model was destroyed in a scene where Piper is in a wreck and a gas leak eventually causes the Jeep to explode. They used the '01 and '02 interchangeably for the rest of the series. I’m probably the only Charmed fan who is also a car nut (imagine Rainman as a car enthusiast), but the '01 and '02 have different styles of wheels. In one scene she could be driving the '02 and in the next scene it’s the '01. They used to rotate the '99 in as well, but it and the '02 had the same wheels so they were literally identical in apperance.
My second favorite vehicle out of the 12 or so that I’ve owned was my '95 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It’s 2nd only because I was fortunate enough to own a '94 Acura Legend which I still think was one of the most over-engineered and perfectly built cars in history! But I always wanted a 2nd generation Grand Cherokee and, even before I saw an episode of Charmed, I was smitten by a color they called “Midnight Pearl” (Dark Blue).
I originally fell in love with Holly Marie Combs on her first series, “Picket Fences” (1992-1996). It was an awesome show with a then-unknown Lauren Holly (Director Jenny Shepard on NCIS) as well Tom Skerritt, Kathy Baker and Costas Mandylor.
So the girl I love (Holly Marie Combs) plays the most awesome character on Charmed (she can blow anything up with a flick of the wrist) and she drives the exact Jeep that I love…
To this day, I’ haven’t bought another Grand Cheokee but I’d still love to have one from the body style. I’ve often wondered where those two from the show are today. I’d love to buy either one of them, but the '01 would be my pick if given a choice. The '01 Grand Cherokee Limited had a 5-spoke wheel design that was only used for a single year. They reverted to an older and less attractive cross-lace design for '02…but if Piper drove it, I would love to own it…
The obscene music box from The Stuntman
The rear-view mirror that Raul Julia snaps off and throws out of the car, saying “What’s-a behind me is not important” in The Gumball Rally
Barnabas Collins walking stick from the series Dark Shadows
The three-bladed sword from The Sword And The Sorcerer
Whatever was in the car trunk in Repo Man
Whatever was in Marsellus Wallace’ suitcase in Pulp Fiction
edited to add: Lucas McCain’s rifle from The Rifleman
Sam Lowry’s Messerschmitt from Brazil, assuming it was a different prop that was burned up.
Some friends of mine have many facsimiles of the props listed in this thread.
For me, I want the book from The Neverending Story.
This book from UP would also be extremely cool.
Me, I’d take the luggage.
