What music makes you invincible?

Almost all Rage Against the Machine–especially A Bullet in your Head and Township Rebellion.

Pantera–Mouth for the War and Fucking Hostile.

How could I have forgotten
Black Blade by Blue Oyster Cult
Won’t Get Fooled Again by The Who
Iron Man by Black Sabbath

Thanks guys

a few others

Grendel : Marillion
Thunderchild : from The War of the Worlds album
No Quater : Led Zepplin
Sword of the East : Hawkwind

I must heartily second Carmina Burada and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

When running, for me, it’s Monty Norman’s original James Bond Theme from Dr. No.

How about John Williams overture for Superman?

And Danny Elfman’s Batman Returns!

And James Horner’s Escape from the Tavern from Willow.

oh, and Wagner’s Flight of the Valkyrie.

Night on Bald Mountain, Mussorgsky
Ride of the Valkyries, Wagner
Hall of the Mountain King, Grieg
Toccata and Fugue, Bach
Mars: Bringer of War, Holst

Don’t Fear the Reaper, Blue Oyster Cult
Mummer’s Dance, Loreena McKennit
Jukebox Hero, Foreigner
Tank!, Yoko Kanno/The Seatbelts (Opening theme to Cowboy Bebop)

Two lists, one of things already mentioned, the other ones not: [ul]
[li]Wait and Bleed- Slipknot[/li][li]Immigrant Song- Led Zep[/li][li]Mars: Bringer of War- Holst[/li][li]Ride of the Valkyries- Wagner[/li][li]Iron Man- Black Sabbath[/li][/ul]
The second list:[ul]
[li]My Plague-Slipknot[/li][li]Faith- Limp Bizkit[/li][li]The Ecstacy of Gold- Ennio Moricone, I think it is. From The Good, the Bad and the Ugly soundtrack[/li][li]Twin Sunset- I think that’s the name of it. The song playing in Star Wars: A New Hope when Luke is outside of his house watching the sunsset (and yes, the double S is intentional. suns-set…sneaky!)[/li][li]For nearly an hour of invincibility, play Master of Puppets really loud[/li][/ul]

Rock and Roll Zeppelin
Peggy-O Grateful Dead
One of These Days the Pink Floyd

Napalm Death - Armageddon times Seven

Short, but invincible:

Mastadge Drag from movie soundtrack of Stargate.

It has the spirit of the William Tell Overture on steroids.

On that note I’ll add Pantera’s Cowboys from Hell. I would listen to it on my Discman all the time and would constantly feel the urge to challenge oncoming traffic.

Motherfucker=redeemer by Godspeed You Black Emperor!

Hey hey, neutron star, great Murphys song.

If I had to pick one, I’d go with Legend of Fin MacCumhail.

Others!
Operation Ivy - The Crowd
Mouthwash - We Evolve
Rancid - Black Derby Jacket

Thought of another one Drink and Fight – the Mudmen

Ever see the video for it? It’s pretty damn cool (though possibly not so if you have epilepsy :)).

One I forgot to mention in my preveious post:

Pogues - “The Battle March Medly.”

That song makes me want to pick up a musket and CHARGE!

verenabeast- thanks! I like that song but I never knew who the artist was. Now I do.

I’m a big fan of rock and roll but going further back, John Philip Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever” can really stir things up.

I can’t top that, but I was honored to be the first in line to meet Vince DiCola at the Official Transformers Collectors Convention in Chicago this past month. I told him that his Transformers soundtrack got me interested in film scoring and composition back when I was in elementary school, and I’ve been a dabbler and a fan ever since. He signed my soundtrack CD and I shook his hand. Cool guy. Wish I coulda seen him and/or Stan Bush perform, though!
