What music should be played at your funeral/wake?

My #1 choice would be “Solsbury Hill”, beginning with piano, clarinet, and voice, then adding drum kit and guitar on the second verse, and bringing in a drumming circle for the last verse.

Failing that, “Let It Be”.

I wish I could say that I’ve earned “The Sick Bed of Cúchulainn”, but I haven’t.

My goodness I have always begged to have bagpipes at my funeral too! A year ago I heard two boys playing on a street corner in San Francisco. They were probably 16 and 18 years old, playing Stairway to Heaven. I was enthralled and charmed and tipped them $50 for their joie de vivre.

Along with that tune, I’d ask for Jerusalem,* Danny Boy*, and The Minstrel Boy(just because I’m an Anglophile)

Whiter Shade of Pale, King Curtis version (Withnail & I)

So I’m the only one who wants the cantina band music from Star Wars?
