What national news sites are still free?

BBC News is also free and like The Guardian, they have pretty good coverage of US stories.

BBC and NPR are my primary news sources.

Both are very good.

Fark.com is still free but you have a few paid versions to choose from.

I don’t find it very annoying. They ask nicely once and when I demur they open up the story.

The places that demand I disable my blocker to continue after they’ve let me read the first juicy sentences, those guys are annoying.

I agree. I need to pull up the BBC and read it more often.

NewsNation is another U.S. national news site (which also has a cable channel) that doesn’t appear to yet have a subscription model for their website.

Beyond my Washington Post subscription, the AP, NPR, and BBC are my primary go-to news sites these days. I had written CNN off as useless years ago.
