Gosh, if only the rest of the right wing had the common fucking sense to realize going into this thing that Iraq in particular and the Middle East in general really don’t give a shit about U.S.-style freedom. Maybe in a generation or two, if they’ve had a chance to figure out for themselves why their values suck ass. But not now, while they’re violently opposed to any ideology that opposes their fundamental right to suck ass. Kurdistan excepted, although we seem poised to order them to suck ass.

I saw this in person, in the comfort of my own living room, on my own TV.

O’Reilly lost it on this one. The whole thing had no point and made no sense. He seemed confused and disoriented. No one, even the most staunch conservative, could possibly agree with his statements.

I disagree with your interpretation of the quoted statement. I read it as an endorsement of the U.S. strategy in the Balkans (circa Bosnia '95 % Kosovo '98), i.e., bombs the shit out of the scumbag leaders when it suits your goals, but don’t be fucking retarded enough to try to occupy a nation that doesn’t want you there.
