Why the hell don’t they shut this asshole up? He’s not doing Bushco any favors by running his mouth like this.
Perhaps he’s even doing them harm.

Your sudden concern for the Bush Admistration is heartening!
Don’t hold your breath.
But let me say this…Do you think I like having to bash the Bush administration? Do you think it pleases me? Well, It doesn’t my friend. If only Bushco had kept sight of what America is. We were the good guys you know. There was a time when the world looked up to America but not anymore.
You HAVE to bash the Bush administration? Just asking, but is someone holding a gun to your head and telling you “Bash Bush more or you die.”?
If you don’t like doing it, why do it?
So I should just sit back and watch my country be shoved down the tubes? And not speak my opinion?
No thanks.
Because some people have the need to stand up for what they believe in?
It doesn’t seem like such a difficult idea to me. He doesn’t enjoy bashing anyone, Bush or Joe Schmoe on the street, but if they’re doing wrong, it’s his (or anyone’s) moral duty to say something.

I’m not saying you have to keep quiet. I just don’t see the point in doing something you don’t enjoy that you don’t have to do.
Sort of like paying bills?

One does not need to bash BushCo any longer.
They are doing a rather effective job of undermining their own credibility and trustworthiness.
I’m almost looking forward to four more years, because if Bush just gets voted out, there very likely will not be as much digging into the depths of this administration’s true arrogance and corruption as there would be if he loses in November.
What a tool that guy is. We are not the ones who get to decide whether what we’re doing is a “favor” that they should “appreciate”… they are.
If I jabbed Bill O’Reilly in the eye with a sharp stick as a favor to him, do you think he’d appreciate it? If not, would that be an indication that I should’ve bombed him instead?
We feel your pain.
I love these bears-shit-in-the-woods threads.
I think he’d go on the show and say something to effect of “Once again, the liberals show their contempt for America by trying to censor my free speech. Learn about civil rights, hippies.”
And then I’d stab his other eye.

They can keep their secrets in exchange for Bush not getting any Supreme Court appointments.
I don’t care if Bush just goes and lives his life in peace on his ranch. Just as long as he does.
Make note of this day, for future reference. On this quote, I completely and unambiguously agree 100% with Bill O’Reilly.
Gosh, if only the rest of the right wing had the common fucking sense to realize going into this thing that Iraq in particular and the Middle East in general really don’t give a shit about U.S.-style freedom. Maybe in a generation or two, if they’ve had a chance to figure out for themselves why their values suck ass. But not now, while they’re violently opposed to any ideology that opposes their fundamental right to suck ass. Kurdistan excepted, although we seem poised to order them to suck ass.
Seriously, this is a gigantic portion of why I opposed Dubya Dubya II. Good on ya, O’Reilly. Now stop being such a fucking dumbass on everything else you say.
I dislike O’Reilly something fierce. I’m going to plea with dopers out there that if you don’t like him, please don’t listen. That way if enough don’t listen, presto, no longer on the air therefore no more problem. That is all.
Minty didja miss the part where O’Reilly recommends genocide as an exit strategy?
I saw this in person, in the comfort of my own living room, on my own TV.
O’Reilly lost it on this one. The whole thing had no point and made no sense. He seemed confused and disoriented. No one, even the most staunch conservative, could possibly agree with his statements.
Note: The above statement means that I agree with Reeder in only the most limited sense. I doubt that such agreement will happen again in the memory of living man. :o
That was my question, too.
Would you have preferred that the US simply bomb Iraq until it was flat?
I disagree with your interpretation of the quoted statement. I read it as an endorsement of the U.S. strategy in the Balkans (circa Bosnia '95 % Kosovo '98), i.e., bombs the shit out of the scumbag leaders when it suits your goals, but don’t be fucking retarded enough to try to occupy a nation that doesn’t want you there.
