What? Not one thread about the GOP debate in Iowa last night?

Big picture, big picture. They lost 2006 and 2008, but they won big in 2010. If they get shut out for a presidential cycle and get resoundingly beaten, you’ll see the message change.

No way Hunstman can win in this years wacko version of the party. But another loss to the Thin Man and the Pubbies will be ready to listen to reason.

I didn’t watch the debate, but I heard the clip where Bachmann informed of us one of her key accomplishments as a lawmaker: sponsoring The Light Bulb Freedom of Choice Act. It’s like something a comedian would make up…

Now, as a libertarian leaning guy, I’m all for Light Bulb Freedom of Choice, but I’d hope my presidential candidate had some more meaty legislation to brag about.

Actually if he had also not raised his hand along with the rest of the doofuses when given to 10 to 1 cost cuts vs increased revenue (“taxes”) question, he may had cornered the not bat shit crazy wing of primary/caucus voters. Yeah a minority of the primary GOP crowd but with bat shit crazy being so divided among the others it might be enough to get some early traction.

Yeah, what’s the point of having a debate if everyone’s just going to say the same things?

For future debates, they’re just going to have buzzer buttons on the lecterns. If you’re the last to buzz in agreement, you’ll be required to take the opposite position.

“Who on this stage supports… traditional marriage!
BZZZZZZZ!!

“Okay, Governor Huntsman missed that one, and will be required to support homosexual unions. Ha ha, good luck with that, Governor. Who on this stage supports… teaching intelligent design!
BZZZZZZZ!!

“And it looks like Mr. Gingrich was last there…”
