What % of Dopers are Brits?

There’s a few more Scots than I see mentioned here, but I can’t think of them right now.

owlstretchingtime’s a Brit, too.

Tir is in North London, not Dawrn Sarf.

Don’t forget Gartog, and Ianzin, and many many more.

Oops!

I’m from the midlands, no London dopefest for me!

Hi there.

[nitpick] It’s “Peculier”, in this context. [/nitpick]

I remember back in my student days quaffing a pint of OP in the “Traveller’s Rest” in Durham. It was 51p a pint, and in those days, that was real premium-rate beer. Well worth it, though.

And me!
But London is also too far…

Co Durham

Oooh, another Midlander. Where are you from, LBD?

For the record, I wouldn’t go to London if the streets were paved with gold, the beer was free and if Vanessa Williams was waiting for me with a bucket of baby oil - and I would pretty much go anywhere for Vanessa Williams and a bucket of baby oil.

Maybe one day we’ll have a DopeFest in the North or Midlands.

Hey, I’m pleased that Tansu namechecked me. I felt small and insignificant merely being “someone else who lives in Scotland”.

Oops, I am actually small and insignificant. Oh well.

Possible for me to go to London (though I recall being delighted to get away from the place), as I have friends there to put me up. I’m a bit of a hermit though, so I can’t be sure I’d go.

Maybe the Scots, Geordies and Yorkshire folks should form a splinter group.

London is also out for me too.

jumps up and down excitedly

Me too!

I live near london, but not actually in London itself. But here I am. Yay!

I’m a hybrid, born in Sussex, moved to the States when I was a toddler. I’ve only in the past year found out that Americans don’t know that a flannel is what they call a washcloth and that they have no idea what a dogsbody is. I’m out for a London Dopefest for now, but next time I get over to visit my relatives, I know I’d better let Kal and Washte know at the very least!

By the way, I think I, Brian, is a Yorkshireman. I remember kidding him about it recently in Great Debates, being descended from a long line of Lancashire peasants, myself. Another denizen of GD, Steve Wright, is from Oxford.

  • ME ME ME ME ME!!!*

I say coloUr, mathS, favoUrite, etc.
I’ll be up for a LonDope if exam revision allows…

I suppose I have to post in this thread.

I haven’t got anything interesting to say though (what’s new)

(I am a brit)

Eh, does that tax haven in the Irish sea really count, anyway?

[sub]Always watch your TT though. And I hear mr. Mansell’s got a nice crib on that lovely patch of rock.[/sub]

I was born in Blackburn - England. Lived in this tax haven for 2 years now. I like the place, but I am a bit homesick.

Regarding mansell - read my last post in your F1 thread.
Ever been to the TT?

The Dutch one in Assen, yes. Never been to your fair isle. Hope to do so one day!

So do I count as an ex-pat?

I’m in London. Sitting in an internet cafe in Oxford Street right this minute!

Another ex-pat checking in. Originally from Yorkshire.
