I guess in 2014, a research team accidentally discovered a new terpenoid that was occurring in hashish. I know terpenoids help define flavor profiles but a lot of the articles I’ve read indicate that this is big news. There are already so many terpenoids, I guess I’m just confused about what big revelations could come from a newly discovered terpenoid in hash. Is it the possibility of somehow using it to map the genome for cannabis? Is there some health benefit that I’m missing?
