Good lawd. Everything I needed fixed this stuff did it permanently without fail. A handle on a microwave oven, a horn cover on a motorcycle, a toothbrush holder on our bathroom wall. That bathroom gets all hot and steamy from the shower twice a day and that holder remains on the wall since I GG’d it 8 years ago.
Ruger P Series pistols.
Been a licensed dealer for 40 years now. Never came across a gun that will feed, fire, extract, and eject ANYTHING you load into it without fail. Every other gun has at least one type of ammo it doesn’t like. Not the P-Series. Plus they’re built like a tank. I’m willing to bet you could derail a freight train with one of these sombitches.
Too bad they stopped making them for no stupid reason.
BugBane fly strips. Tacky, ugly, and gross as they are, they will bring a smile to your face as you see the little bastards accumulate on them. Beats the hell out of running around the house poisoning your family and your pets with aerosols.
Agree! I had a favorite mug that has a picture of the creek where I played as a kid on it. My niece took the picture. So it has sentimental value. Somehow the handle broke off. My husband fixed it using Gorilla Glue. I was skeptical. I thought putting it in the microwave would dissolve the glue and it would fall off as I was removing it from the microwave. It’s held up for over a year. I’m impressed.
I do have concerns about tripping. They are basically platform shoes. However I’ve taken them hiking and had no issues. I mostly wear them when my knee, shin or ankle is acting up. The spring takes a lot of pressure off my joints so there is less pain. I have no idea if its true or not, but supposedly the spring in the heel absorbs 50% of your bodyweight, which means your joints have much less weight to absorb.
You can get the coil enclosed, so the coil itself won’t catch on anything.
Bought a Walther P.380. Love the gun. But you can’t load 9rnds into the mag as suggested. It jams about 1 in 10 times with 9rnds. That will NOT do. Only 8rnds will do. They changed the spring to cram another round in it.
My Sig P365 9mm has been great. The Walther is pretty much my wifes gun now. It is a dream to shoot. Also easy to load the mag and rack it. Just put 8 in it, and it’s fine.
Nope, it doesn’t change my gait. Some people run and go hiking in those shoes. They have lines for hiking and lines for running. Lots of people who work jobs where they stand and walk on hard surfaces all day swear by them (medical professionals, factory workers, etc).
Supposedly the spring absorbs 50% of your bodyweight which takes weight off your joints and muscles, but the spring also helps propel you forward a little bit so it helps with fatigue. However the spring doesn’t make things bouncy.
I’ve never fallen in them or had issues with walking on uneven surfaces.
LOL, I could go with this list except for Denon which I don’t know what that is. I don’t even ski but for some reason the Look Nevada bindings stuck in my mind as such a cool name. Although I might counter Springfield Armory with Rock River Arms.
I wholeheartedly agree with the endorsements for Mazda and Bombas.
I find that the soles of my Birkenstocks tends to wear through at the heel after a few years. But when that happens I just take them to a cobbler (Yes, there is one in my town) and he replaces the soles and they’re good for a few more years.
This is something of a niche product, but I am extremely happy with a product called Pureport. My iPhone’s lightning port tends to collect dust and lint until it reaches a point where it doesn’t charge when I plug it in. This product cleans your phone’s lightning port without damaging the pins, and restores it to charging reliably again.
We have a small, not very powerful power washer by Kobalt. It is battery-powered and does not attach to a faucet: you lower the hose into a bucket of water and so you can use it anywhere for small jobs. We have a balcony and it is gentle enough not to tear membrane. Of course we don’t get heavy-duty stains on the balcony, so it is sufficient and handy.
Spray 9 cleaner/degreaser. Works great on grease, grime, mold, algae, and fungus. With that and the Kobalt, our balcony is the jewel of the building.
I also recommend the 1976 English translation of Marx’s Das Kapital over both the 1895 translation and the 2024 translation. I am not familiar with the 1934 translation by Cedar and Eden Paul. Happy to elaborate on my preference upon request.
Not as heavy duty as the other P-Series because of its polymer frame it’s still tough as nails. Can’t change the grip panel but there are aftermarket slip ons.
When it came out about 30 years ago we sold a ton of them with no complaints. $295 with 2 ten round mags due to the stupid assault weapons magazine ban. But I believe it would accept the 15 round mags from other models.
Dickies cargo pants. been wearing them for 10 years or more and they seem to be indestructible and are as close to no-iron as I’ve ever found.Of course, I look like a janitor, but a high-class janitor.
Back in the 80s, as I recall, Denon made the best blank cassette tapes. Googling them I get “Denon is a Japanese electronics company of audio equipment.” Same company, I assume? I’ve not heard anything about them in at least 30 years.
Since guns have been mentioned I would endorse the fairly new Ruger 57 pistol. 5.7 x 28m, expensive to shoot but if you can point at the target you are going to hit it from even hundreds of yards away. It is like holding a carbine rifle in the palm of your hand. Very fast ammo, very acurate for a pistol. Most pistols you wont even hit another target or person even if it was in the same room you are in, not this pistol.
Heck, it holds the 20 and 30 round mags for the Ruger Police Carbine. Looks pretty stupid, though. I bought a Suomi 71 round drum for the carbine but never completed converting it. I need to get that done.
