So, does this mean that instead of feeling terribly guilty and anti-social for still being a smoker, I and others ought to have badges (OK, then North Americans - “buttons”) made saying things like “Smoker and proud of it”, “Make friends with me - I’m a smoker.” Oh, and perhaps T-shirts too, and even bumper stickers for the environmentally disastrous car drivers amongst us. In fact, the whole set of advertising/political campaign paraphernalia.
FWIW, though, I (perhaps unusually) only became a regular smoker after several years of adulthood and sexual activity.
