What rare or out of print music are you in search of?

**

Lately I’ve been finding some songs from that album showing up in various…er… locations. I don’t know if it’s someone grabbing them from album or what, but I got most of it in mp3 format. My tape of it broke long ago and I don’t have a record player, so it’s a nice substitute.

Helen Humes, “Let the Good Times Roll”. My ex-husband had the album, and got custody of it when we divorced. It’s out of print now and I can’t find it ANYWHERE. I have several Helen Humes CDs and albums, but I really like the collection of songs on “Let the Good Times Roll”.
Object lesson- tape (or better yet HIDE) all of the good stuff when the marriage starts heading south!

Exscuse me??? The Michael Jackson of Canada? Blasphemy!!! Why, I–
<calming drugs kick in>
His music was completely different from MJ’s. And better, IMHO.

He doesn’t look a bit like MJ either: he looks completely average, so much so that I would have a hard time describing him. (I met him once sans face coverings.)

I think some of that album is on the compilation album “Great Songs of Indifference” which I own, it’s still in print AFAIK. But I can’t find a track list for V Deep so I have no way to check. If you want, post a track list and I’ll check.

I would do just about anything for high quality CDs of some early punk EPs I own. Stuff like “Red London” by Sham69, and “All Skrewed Up” by Skrewdriver. Now don’t call me a nazi, Skrewdriver used to be a goofy Oi band until their leader quit after the first album, and the rest of the guys turned neonazi.

Ya know, I hate buying stuff on CDs that I already own on vinyl. I think you should get a rebate if you already bought the album once.

Lately, I’ve been looking for soundtracks to a few specific games, namely some obscure Japanese PC games that seem pretty much virtually unknown out here. The thing is, this company is famous for making absolutly awesome soundtracks (tis Nihon Falcom, by the way), so I shall continue ruthlessly my search for a Legend of Heroes 3-5 album!

Hey, thanks for the tip!
I just ordered the Walker Soundtrack CD for 6 bucks!
Mind you, this was from Germany, and they didn’t list shipping and handling… So, hopefully that wasn’t a hundred dollars or something.

I hope that wasn’t a bad idea…

I think I have everything off that compilation, but thanks Chas. E!

I got so wrapped up in getting my code right that I forgot to specify on CD. I guess you’ll have to take me back to court.

I’d love to find some printed sheet music for Edgar Winter’s Frankenstein.

Quarterflash’s fourth CD Girl in the Wind on the Geffen label. Apparently released only in Europe, it occasionally shows up for big bucks ($50+) on eBay but I just can’t bring myself to go that high.

This incredibly talented band based in Portland, Oregon, had a hot hit with “Harden My Heart”, which reached #3 in 1981 (yikes! where did those 20 years go?) followed by #16 “Find Another Fool” in 1982 and #14 “Take Me to Heart” in 1983.

First album was a monster seller, second less so and third even less. So by the time the fourth came out, it got only a token distribution in Europe.

Lead singer Rindy Ross can belt with the best, and she plays kick-butt saxaphone to boot. Well worth hunting up all three of the more available albums, IMHO.

I am looking for a vinyl copy of “Let 'em eat Jellybeans”, a punk compilation from the early 80’s released on the Alternative Tentacles label. It’s got DK, the Meat Men, MDC: it was an amazing record.

The Traveling Wilbury’e Vol. 1.

Its on ebay, but it seems its fetching a hefty price.

I love the combo of Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, and others make. Very easy to listen to.

I had the tape years ago, but the younger sister lent it to someone and I’ve not seen it since.

I’ll resign to ebay one day, just hoping it might turn up at a garage sale.

Peter Himmelman’s Skin.

It’s lovely-- one of the few CDs I really treasure, and I am worried that something is going to happen to it. I’ve been trying for two years to get another copy, but it’s grievously out of print and completely unavailable. At least from all the sources I’ve thought to check.
