And no, I’m not asking the question because I’m planning a Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
I have a national, online service that lets people call a toll-free number and record stories, toasts, tributes, and well-wishes which are preserved onto a CD keepsake.
It’s been used primarily for birthdays and anniversaries, but it can also be used for Bar & Bat Mitzvah’s. Because I sense that Mitzvah moms talk to each other a lot, I’d like to get a bunch of Mitzvah’s under my belt and try to build up word of mouth.
Now, I don’t know much about Mitzvah’s, I’ve never been to one, and I’m not even Jewish. I want to do some very targeted, effective advertising but I’m not quite sure where to start. I know there are sometimes local “Mitzvah Expos”, but quite frankly, because this is a national service, I don’t want to go that route.
Do you have any suggestions? When you were planning your son/daughter’s Mitzvah do you remember if you read any publications, or frequented any particular web sites to help you decide what to do, or was it all word of mouth?
Thanks in advance.
