Spyro! Spyro! Spyro!!!
For a good fighting game, try Dead or Alive 2: Hardcore. This may only be for PS2, so my apolgies if it is. If not, it’s a definite pickup. The skill levels are very adjustable, the fighting moves are varied enough from character to character to be interesting, and it has some really good moves. Great fun against an opponent.
Hald of the fun, by the way, is in the cheesiness of (a) the later costumes (you can unlock costumes as you advance) - the feather headress is an exercise in awfulness in itself, and (b) the horribly cheesy English dialogue (you can set the dialogue to Japanese or English).
Medievil – Its the best game I’ve ever played. Replay value due to the great fun. NHL series are great (i’ve got 98) is a great too.
Another vote for Super Puzzle Figher 2 Turbo. While I’m at it, I’ll recommend Pocket Fighter (which really isn’t as obscene as it sounds). It’s an SD fighting game with characters from Street Fighter in its various incarnations and Darkstalkers. It’s a simple game, but cute and a lot of fun when playing against friends.
For fighting games, Guilty Gears, hands down. Probably the best fighting game for the Playstation. Kind of a Samurai Showdown with insane action and crazy attacks. Very good animation, too, considering the Playstation’s lousy 2 mb of RAM. Another good one is Soul Blade (prequel to Soul Calibur for DreamCast). That one’s 3d fighting game, so it’s not about crazy action, but more focused on skills and timing. As for RPG’s, there’s Wild Arms. Very old(one of the first rpg’s for the PSX), but very good. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is really a must have. Another side scroller, Mega Man X5 (not out yet, but due very soon).
BTW, Dead Or Alive 2:Hardcore is for the PS2.

Hey! A Dreamcast owner?! For those who own DC’s(shame on you if you don’t), watch for Bleemcast!, a PSX emulator. It will run games with better graphics than the Playstation 2’s backwards compatibility. Not to mention 4 player support.

Family Fued is lots of fun to play especially if your family is nuts cause its a real struggle to figure out the answers.
I simply LOVE the three PSX Spyro games!
In fact, I found Spyro 2 so addictive that I ended up playing it until nearly three in the morning! :smack::rolleyes:
You bumped a 14 year old thread? Wow. The PS2 was just barely out and very hard to find in December 2000.
I was about to suggest this topic be moved to the Games Room, but maybe that part of the forum didn’t exist 14 years ago?
Closing zombie thread.
