I only saw it for a moment on Steam but it looked interesting and I can’t quite remember the name. . It’s a city built set in Greece, and you can ask the gods for various boons I guess? The game shows them walking in the streets I think? It was named something like Civilization but not that exactly. I wonder if it’s any good.
Populous and Populous II may be what you have in mind. They are pretty good.
The Populous games are great but pretty old. Could it be the slightly more recent Zeus + Poseidon on Steam ?

I specifically remember Zeus on the title card on Steam.
Maybe Save 20% on Age of Mythology: Retold on Steam too, but that’s less Civ-like and more of a RTS like Age of Empires.
Citadelum came out a few weeks ago and it’s very much a Patrician-esque game.
