What SD pages have you saved, if any?

I like to save the ones with medical advice, because I tend to forget or muddle that. Factual info tends to be remembered, so even if I learn a lot on a factual thread I won’t save it but trust to memory.

There are a lot of threads that I wish I’d saved, which I could probably find with a quick search.

Right now I seem to have three threads in my bookmarks folder: the 50 Greatest Straight Dope Rants, You theiving c*** and this post which I thought was funny enough to save.

I once cited my own posts in a theology paper (one that outlined my own beliefs). Strangely, I can no longer find that thread in a search. It at least initially survived the Winter of our Missed Content, as I searched for it (and found it) to write that paper in November, 2003.

In other words, I wish I saved threads.

I’ve kept a bunch: I created subscription folders called “Archive,” “Dating,” “My Questions,” and “My Threads.” The last two contain every thread that I’ve ever started (100 so far); the first one contains miscellaneous threads that I feel I might want to reference at some point (60), and “Dating” contains threads about relationships and/or sex that I feel I might want to reference at some point (24). Then, there’s the default “Subscriptions” folder, where I keep track of current threads I’m interested or active in. Right now there are 67; when the number gets up around 100 I’ll do some housekeeping.

So, at the moment I have a grand total of 251 saved threads.
