I’ve seen Humpy too. Is it safe to assume you would rather not see that one either?
Wasn’t someone following you around for a little while calling you MrDribble? I can’t remember who but I remember some juvenile doing it.

Tyrone.
A-and why “Tyrone”?
In the MMP we get nicks, and my favorite is Ivory. But I keep telling them, I’m not that pure…
I wouldn’t want to put words in Tyrone’s mouth, but I’m assuming it has to do with this.
I didn’t see an entry there for “Slight stuttering at the beginning of words, particularly ‘and’” though.
Don’t they also call you soapy in there? Took me a while to figure that one out.
I’d be tempted to use MrDibs, or just Dibs.
My name doesn’t seem to lend itself to shortening, but if folks do so they usually use Ninety or Wt. In that context I think the former makes more sense but I’ll answer to either. In chat rooms sometimes it’s 90, which I’m also cool with.
Ludo. “Lud” can be pronounced two ways, one of which sounds like I’m a pervert, which is true but impolite, and the other sounds like I’m something heavy and dull, which is also impolite (and I’m not heavy :))
Yup, and Prof Rapunzel and 99 44/100. They are a creative bunch, those Mumpers…
My mistake.

Of course KneadToKnow is correct. I took my username from the main character of the book Gravity’s Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon. My sense of humor is such that I attempt to make myself appear dumber than I actually am. sometimes that is really difficult. I knew this thread wanted searchable diminutives of usernames.
So the OP’s “what short version of your username do you prefer ?” naturally yielded my first (user)name because you already had my last (user)name.
I don’t think there’s an obvious abbreviation of Mama Zappa. Guess I could be referred to as “MZ”. “Mama” wouldn’t work too well as people might confuse me with Mama Tiger (hell, I get the two of us mixed up ;)).
I often refer to Typo Knig as just “Typo”, and to our family as the ZappaKnig (or Zappa-Knig) family.
I think “Czarcasm” got shortened to “Czar” within two days of the name change.
Mostly I’m kam on the boards, but have also been nicked as Bucky on occasion which is cool too.
As my wise old mum used to say, “You can call me anything, but just don’t call me late for dinner”.
