I offer one-to-one English lessons for 20 euros an hour. Some prospective students are organizing themselves into small groups. I am trying to work out what to charge them. The idea is that the students pay less per person, but I end up earning a bit more for doing the group than I would for an individual lesson. For the moment I don’t expect any groups to be larger than four people. Any ideas what I should charge a group of two, a group of three and a group of four?
Totally off the top of my head, I’d just work it out so you end up with 30/hour. That seems like a nice bump in your own pay, and the students get a substantial discount.
Or, just say that the group rate is 12/student. You get a little extra with two students, or a lot extra with four or five. That’d make sense if you spend any significant amount of time, say, answering questions over email.
