I’m taking a day to go to Chicago on Monday. What kind of fun stuff is there to do? I have already visited the tourism sites so I already know about the museums, the shopping, the lake front, chinatown, little italy, Gino’s East and stuff like that. I’m looking for something a little more subtle, some ultra-cool tidbit that might not make it into the mainstream tour guides. Any thoughts?

By the way, I already thought about stalking out the Chicago Reader looking for a middle-aged to older man, most likely wearing a red Hawaiian shirt and kahki shorts, possibly resembling a stork or perhaps with a shopping bag on his head.
