What should I use to strip paint near UPVC

I need to strip the paint from a wood surround that is next to a UPVC door. What should I use? A heat gun is right out because it’s near the main gas feed. I’ve checked the data sheets for my usual paint-stripper of choice, Nitromors, and that doesn’t react well with UPVC.

So what should I use?
