What Should The Next Discworld be about?

I play cricket, when I go to India. I don’t understand it one bit, but I play all the time.

It’s just - I’d rather play sports then read about them, or watch them on TV!

The cow incident was in Witches Abroad, when they were on their way to Genua.

There is no way you can get an entire Pratchett book out of cricket. Its not possible – cricket moves too slowly.

Heathen!

And if you can’t get a funny story out of a game with terms like “silly point” and “short leg” you ain’t trying!

I’m sure you can. I just don’t think there’s enough mileage for a full blown Pratchett in it. Maybe as part of a story…

But of course. When has anything been an entire book by Pterry?

Competing sports teams and their “fans,” riots in the streets, Carrot and the Watch forming their own team in response. Vetenari carefully neutral…

NO!

Actually, I may be wrong. It may be in Maskerade, when Granny and Nanny are on their way to Waterdeep. Mostly because I don’t remember Magrat being with them and I believe she was with them when they went to Genua.

Actually, I think silenus’ suggestion might just work.
ducks and runs away very very fast

Actually I would have to agree, but I don’t want to.

Mort is dead.

Since when did that stop people in discworld?

Eh, I want him to stay dead. He was always a bit bland for my tastes.

Waterdeep?

Hmm. Actually, having a few Pratchett characters on Faerun would be…interesting.

GAH! Ankh-Morpork!

I’ve obviously been playing way too much NWN…

Hey, maybe there should be a Discworld novel about sports!

There’s a SOD3 coming out!?! (Damn, I need to grab a napking, I’m drooling so hard.) ((Settle down, now, self. Deep breaths.))

Let’s see. Anaamika wants no sports. No witches and no sports. No witches playing sports. No witches challenging wizards to . . . no, that would be quiddich. That would never fly.

How about a book focusing on that pub full of Undead in Ankh-Morpork?

Biers. Great name.
