I wasn’t talking about Space Marines, I was talking about another army getting the same treatment. There can be no bitz box until we have bits.
Supernatural.
Smallville.
Eureka.
Smash.
Glee.
Chopped.
iCarly
Gods help me, I’ve the viewing habits of a tweenager. :dubious:
Law and Order (any version) or NCIS with Mark Harmon. They are more rote and predictable than Murder She Wrote, with the saving grace that they have several regular stereotypes, er I mean characters.
I only watch because my border obsessively watches them. How many courthouse step shootings? The most famous guest star is the real villain. Etc. Will Stabler do something macho and stupid? You bet! Will McCoy withdraw a question? Yep.
Downton Abbey is a show I actually enjoy watching (most of the time), but is still very mockable and eye roll-worthy. I would love to see Statler & Waldorf go to town on that show.
Statler: I worked with Maggie Smith once. That was 60 years ago.
Waldorf: I didn’t know you knew Maggie Smith when she was young!
Statler: I didn’t, I only met her sixty years ago!
Waldord and Statler: Ha ha ho ho ha
Have you seen this?
Storage Wars. Sweetie turns it on, I never seek it out myself, I swear! But I don’t make him change it either. Nor can I shut up about how awful everyone on the show is.
There really isn’t much humor in Sheldon doing his turn and glare 20 times an episode, but the canned laughter goes apeshit every time.
Oh, I don’t know. That rich collector guy with the deep voice (Barry?) seems nice.
For me, it’s that Ancient Aliens series on History. I swear every-time I watch it my IQ goes down a little bit and I shout stuff at the TV and I should just do something else instead but I was fascinated with that Greek guy’s hair.
I hear it’s already in its fourth season. It’s only up to season 3 here in Malaysia.
Not shows, but any horror movie that has just a little bit of cheese (or more).
Big Bang Theory. Sure you can see the jokes coming a mile away, the constant need to confirm geek cred gets annoying, and the gay panic jokes are getting old. But I’ll stick around because I like the characters, and to drool over Kaley Cuoco.
Chuck reached this point by the end of its run.
And pro wrestling, but that almost goes without saying.
Few years ago now, but I used to watch What Not To Wear in this spirit.
- Infinity on this.
Don’t forget the idea that the rapists and murderers and investment bankers involved in a prison riot are going to fall all over themselves to get out of the way of the wandering pregnant woman, because as well all know people in prison are too moral to hurt a pregnant woman.
“Glee” all the way. I simply watch it out of habit now since I’ve been watching from the beginning. It actually hurts my brain.
News shows, debates, etc featuring the sort of politicans who make the other 2% look bad.
Documentaries on the Miltary and/or History Channel. If it’s WW2, I’m there watching it, sometimes correcting the narration.
(Especially those 30-second trivia snippits on unrelated material they stick in during the commercial breaks. In one of those, a serving Navy Captain said that Midway was the first battle fought where the opposing fleets did not sail within eyesight of each other, and that the USS Langley was a converted cruiser.)
