I subscribe to Salon because I really want them to stay in business and they’re always just about to go under. Also, Consumer Reports. It’s really handy to be able to look ratings up on line. I also buy credits for the personals at Nerve.com (powered by Springstreet which also runs the personals at the Onion and Salon as well as others).
I do a heck of a lot of my shopping on line, particulalrly Amazon and Ebay but I don’t consider that subscribing…
Classmates once, to find someone specific (my first true love, now my boyfriend), but I won’t be subscribing again. It’s unnecessary.
The soon-to-be ex pays $4.95 a month to Pogo. Oh, and a long ago forgotten yearly fee to Bluemountain for the better class (which is debatable) of e-cards.

Agreed. It’s only site I currently subscribe to, and is the best weather site I’ve found. Well worth the $5 per year, especially living in tornado alley.
