What skeletons will be the most visible in the election?

I’m specifically referring to Democratic contenders since we already know what will be used against Bush (no WMDs/budget deficit/PATRIOT/stuff leftover from 2000).
Do you think the Lowell Watergate will become a huge issue (even though it was 30 years ago) if Kerry is the nominee? What in Edwards’ past would be most likely to emerge, or Clark’s? (I think that Dean and others are now dead enough in the water that it’s not worth the time to drudge things up, while Sharpton’s campaign was such a joke that I’ve only heard Tawana Brawley and Freddie’s Fashion Mart mentioned a couple of times in mainstream press and then in passing.)

Based on that link I wouldn’t be surprised to see “Lowellgate” come up in the next few months, but I doubt it will have a huge impact. Just a hunch.

Deep Tunnel has already been mentioned (that is the name, isn’t it? The huge construction in Boston?) in O’Reilly’s show, but I don’t know how much that’ll play outside Massachusetts.

That’s the Big Dig.

I think the fact that Kerry was given reports about Logan’s security issues before 9/11 and didn’t do anything about it might come up in a smear campaign…especially if he has any more commercials about caring about national secuirity.

Of course it’s not entirely his fault (the FAA downplaying national risks to airport security is a big part of it) he did know about the report, or at least people from his office are quoted in the 2nd and 3rd links that they did recieve it, and Logan was the last major airport to meet the new FAA safety requirements…

An issue for Republicans not mentioned in the OP may be Bush’s military record. The issue was raised by Kerry this week and is one I’m sure the RNC does NOT want debated. Kerry would like nothing more than to engage Bush in an I-actually-served-while-you-were-dodging-the-bullet argument. The White House’s shrill response to this issue is reason enough for him to pursue it.

Not a skelaton I guess, but certainly an interesting angle on Kerry

The most obvious skeleton the Republicans will be hiding all year long:
