First two songs I thought of were perennial radio favorites at the time, but damn near killed me because they were so popular.

and
“November Rain” by Guns N’ Roses
I swear to Christ, if I ever get my hands on the bastards that decided we needed to hear those songs on every farking station twice an hour in the mid 90’s, I’m going to give them a rectal exam at the end of a Doc Marten.
