What song would you want played at your funeral?

I know this topic has been done before. What song(s) would you want them to play at your funeral? Would it be your favourite song? Would it be happy or sad?

My choices:

Highway to Hell - AC/DC
Another One Bites The Dust - Queen

Depends. If Im cremated, its Burn, by Deep Purple. If Im buried, its Going Underground, by The Jam. And if any of my bits go to medical science, its Gary Gilmores Eyes, by The Adverts. All together now: “Gary don`t need his eyes to see. Gary and his eyes have parted com-pan-eeee!”

“Bohemian Rhapsody”
“Smells Like Teen Spirit”

“Our Native Land” by Finnish composer Jean Sibelius. That’s what we played at my dad’s memorial service. I liked it.

Also, something by another favorite, film composer Jerry Goldsmith. Hmm…I dunno, what piece of his would I want played? Maybe something from his score to “A Patch of Blue” (that’s a simple yet elegant score) or “Lilies of the Field”. And the score to “Love Field” is beautiful as well.

Also, something from Ennio Morricone’s “Days of Heaven” score. That would be lovely too.

“My Way” by Frank Sinatra.

my way by sid vicious

The ramones :

I dont want to grow up

pet semetary
by bad religion:

horray for me

by social distortion:

ball and chain
it could of been me
i was wrong

That will piss off most of my relatives

Cool Question
Protect Ya Neck by Wu-Tang Clan if was discovered hanging from a noose (sp?)

911 Is a Joke by Public Enemy if the ambulance got stuck in traffic

Murder One by Bone, Thugs n Harmony if I get shot

“Go Away” “Loser” by Snoop Dogg and Beck if I manage to receive a posthumus Darwin Award

I’m thinking “YMCA” would be fitting.

Adagio in G Minor - Tomaso Albinoni

(and may that day be very far off in the future!)

Any polka the string quartet is willing to attempt. A string quartet attempting a polka is worth coming back to see. Hey, lets throw in a bagpipe with the string quartet and make it really painful.

My reasons for the choice is that if I have to miss enjoying the stupid get together no one else should enjoy it either.

‘Saying Goodbye’ by The Muppets

Dead, by Korn.

A friend has already chosen “Who’s Sorry Now?”, so I’d have to go for “If They Could See Me Now”.

“Yes, We Have No Bananas.”

“Fanfare for the Common Man” by Aaron Copland.

“I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor, just for irony’s sake.

Just for the record, I do not want my hand propped in my coffin in a “Gotcha Ya!” pose.
