I presume it might fall in the same category as the other payment, by the Enquirer - although I assume they have an established accounting process for “buying stories” whether they use them or not. Whether Stormy’s situation falls in the same category, I don’t know, since Cohen is not a newspaper buying a story. Based on the array of charges against Mr. Cohen, following up on tax implications seems low on his priority list.
